body language

 Guess what, 55% of languages are non-verbal! Dance counts because you can tell a story, to mourn, to celebrate, was once believed to make crops grow ( Neolithic Era), to rejoice, to make a promise, and/or to tell a moment in history. Animals and people use body language all the time. Rattle snakes rattle their tails to tell the organism to bug off or I will attack. A type of bee uses formations to tell the other bees where the honey is or where the hive is. Also, cats only meow to get us humans attention to tell another cat to go away or stop; where they would use their hiss. GRRRRRR!

 

This what I actually did my presentation on. On how we as in the whole population on Earth would not be living right now!

 

Actions speak louder than words!

 

I dance, therefore, I am!

 

Presentation Take 2

                    Instead of doing the dances from the countries because it was a little too complicated and there is not much background on the type of dances. I might show a video of one of my dances this year. But, that might not happen either! Miss. Gowland and I have figured out what to do instead I am going to do either the history of Contemporary or Jazz dance. In Contemporary its mostly by feeling the emotion and making other feel the emotion too. It is not just do the dance and if that happened then as the audience you would be really bored. Jazz dance can either be any kind of feeling. Like my jazz dance is the feeling of anger. It is between the black costumes and the grey costumes. They are at war with each other. I am a black costume. When I have found the song I will put it below of my Jazz dance song. I am sorry I cannot show a video of the dance because of confidentiality. Just to warn you I would not have your volume too loud if you are going to listen to the song.

Your choice!

 You guys finally get say on what countries I should do for my project, for genius hour!

  If you guys can comment below the countries you would like to have in my dance. Then I will tally up the countries.

Presentation Take 1....

  Many of you are wondering why I have not talked about my presentation. Well now I am. I was thinking of making a video of some kind of dance. I am not the only one choreographing. I have tried asking my dance friends but, they thought I was finished with what I was saying and started talking to their other friends. At least I tried! Since I do not have any volunteers to choreograph part of my presentation, my time to make the script and the video will be postponed. 

 Next, I will be posting about improvisation and maybe post some of my old, 2010, dance competition videos from Starquest!

Your love is....

    Dance is Life. Long time ago, one of my dance teachers made my dance friends and I come and sit in a circle. She put a tissue box in the middle of the circle. We talked about why we love dance and it soon became into a confession circle. Many of my friends said the same thing I did,

Not just because it is fun. I love it because I can just forget all my stress and worries about what happened before I come to dance. Its so therapeutic. 
 I sometimes use dance to get rid of the fact that I am not aloud to talk or see my stepbrother, Luke Luster, anymore because he's changed. He even had to go to court to see if he was pronounced incorrigible or not. 

  In my next two blogs I will be talking about Improvisation and one about my presentation to the class.

Trouble

  I have a big problem. My blog is turning into a regular blog. My blog is not talking about what I am doing for my genius hour project. No research and pretty much no process. There are so many ways for me to show the class about my genius hour project. Like make a model of the old raked stage ( boring), choreograph and perform a dance from a different country ( that would be fun but, my problem with getting up in front of a small group of people would eat me up.)  Just video tape one of  my classes (Make a mashup). I dont know if I could do that or not ( teachers might say no) and I am not really good at making a videos or anything really with camera except taking horrible pictures. I also have a good idea that I might do a genius hour project about my cats and making a video of them. But someone else is already doing a project on animals.  If you have any suggestions please comment on my blog below!
